The Insurance Institute of Cardiff has named Craig Winter, business manager from Arthur J. Gallagher in Llantrisant, as Young Achiever of the Year at its prestigious annual dinner held in City Hall, Cardiff.

Shortlisted as one of three finalists, Craig (pictured left) was awarded the accolade based on his proven track record in delivering above expectation in every aspect of his professional life. His commitment to continuous professional development and community engagement are matched only by his determination to deliver the best insurance solutions for local businesses and a strong performance for his team at Gallagher.

John Newnes, President of the Insurance Institute of Cardiff (pictured right), who presented Craig with his award, commented that the judges were impressed with how Craig had successfully grown and motivated his team, while remaining dedicated to his personal and professional development.

Paul Norman, Arthur J. Gallagher’s Regional Manager, added: “It’s fantastic to see Craig externally recognised by the Insurance Institute of Cardiff as Young Achiever of the Year, especially from such a strong shortlist of up and coming insurance professionals. It’s an award he thoroughly deserves.

“Craig’s strong commitment to professional and personal development continues to impress us all, particularly when you consider he has more than doubled the size of his team in less than 12 months while motivating them to deliver results ahead of expectation.

“He’s a real all-rounder too, always making the time to take part in our community engagement activities.”
