As Chairman of International Development, Gallagher Global Risks, John has responsibility for Gallagher Asia Pacific and Gallagher Global Energy.

John previously worked for the JLT Group, initially in Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing, before returning to London and eventually becoming Chairman of UK Insurance Broking and Employee Benefits.

He then took on the role of Chief Executive of the International Business division, covering Asia Pacific, continental Europe, Canada and Latin America, subsequently spending ten years as Director of the JLT Group.

John holds a degree in Law from Cambridge University and is a member of the British American Project. He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Novae Group plc, which underwrites at Lloyd's.
