Arthur J. Gallagher in Belfast has signalled its intention for growth by co-locating two businesses into one centre of excellence in the heart of the city.

The commercial insurance broker has brought together 65 employees from across its two locally based branches, into one office on Alfred Street, in a move that will centralise and bolster the company’s operations.

Shane Matthews (pictured), Regional Managing Director for Northern Ireland, comments: “As one of the largest commercial insurance brokers in Belfast, looking after a diverse mix of businesses, we knew that bringing together all of our people, expertise and resources under one roof would mean we could better share best practice and deliver even more value for clients.

“First and foremost, we are a community broker embedded in the regions we serve, but we benefit from being part of an extensive UK network and having the backing of our US parent — one of the world’s largest risk management and insurance broking companies — and understand the importance of investing in a local presence. Because we know every business is unique and has challenges that cannot be resolved by off-the-shelf coverage, we match all of our clients with a dedicated local account team that can leverage the power of our global resources to design a custom solution specifically for them.

“The merger of our two offices not only provides the ideal platform upon which to execute our ambitious growth strategy but also creates a great working environment for our people.”

Arthur J. Gallagher in Belfast specialises in tailored insurance and risk management solutions across a range of sectors for businesses operating across Northern Ireland.
