Arthur J. Gallagher named best broker by FTSE firms
A survey of corporate insurance buyers at the UK’s largest listed companies has rated Arthur J. Gallagher top in every single one of the six service categories, prompting Insurance Times to call Gallagher “the undisputed king of service”.
Insurance buyers and risk managers from 90 large corporations were asked to rank and rate the UK brokers based on their own personal experience of service provision, by leading risk management publication Strategic Risk.
Upon publication of the survey results, sister publication Insurance Times commented: “It shows Gallagher has been working hard to improve its corporate service and products, carving out a neat space in the corporate sector as having a different offering compared to that of its larger rivals.”
While Strategic Risk, which runs the survey on an annual basis, said: “Arthur J. Gallagher’s position at the top of the 2016 ranking flies in the face of respondents who bemoaned the growth of the ‘mega brokers’.”
With an average score of 4.34 out of a maximum 5.00 measured across all service criteria, Gallagher emerged some way ahead of its rivals — with JLT (4.10) and Aon (4.04) coming closest to its strong performance across the board.
